I really enjoyed being at AFRIMS. It was fun smashing ticks, looking at mosquitoes and looking at monkeys. I hope we will be able to go back to AFRIMS.

My diagram shows the real science! My example was about buying meat from two different places and how many people got diarrhea.

I thought your mosquito department was very interesting. I never knew that you could make mosquitoes mate like that. My diagram shows a mosquito’s life at AFRIMS. I really enjoyed the visit.

I really liked the process of operating on a monkey. It was very fascinating and a great learning experience.

Students from the International School Bangkok view malaria parasites in the Department of Veterinary Medicine.

The Department of Entomology provides an educational experience for seventh graders.

Other Field Trip Comments

I’m really glad that somebody is trying to cure people who have malaria.

It was a great experience to learn about malaria and other diseases. I learned that malaria is a living organism that can kill someone fast. I learned that the most dangerous one is falciparum.

Thank you for teaching us about hygiene and comparing controls. I enjoyed our field trip.

Thank you for showing us around AFRIMS. It was very interesting to learn about the different kinds of diseases. My favorite part, but most disgusting part was entomology where we got to see all the bugs.
