Maintenance Requests
On-time or Recurring
Maintenance Contracts
Maintenance regulatory
requirements are:
1. Cost and capability
comparison for in-house vs contractor.
Solution: If you send me a copy of the proposed contract when
you receive it, I can start my stuff while you do the purchase
request paperwork. That way, when the PR gets to me I am ready
to initial and pass it on.
2. The contract must
state the following:
| |
a.
Frequency, in months between visits (every 3 months, every
6 months, etc.)
b. Contractor will update the DD Form 2163 (the calibration
sticker on the equipment) when they complete the calibration.
c. After each visit, the contractor will provide Maintenance
a list of:
(1) the test equipment used, listing nomenclature, manufacturer,
model, and date test equipment was calibrated
(2) Services or actions performed
(3) Status of the equipment (functional, broken, needs overhaul,
etc.) |
Providing this information
up front will speed up the approval process.
