Dr. Rampa Rattanarithikul received the Belkin Award by AMCA

Dr.Rampa Rattanarithikul is pictured receiving the Belkin Award, the highest honor given by the American Mosquito Control Association during its annual meeting  in Anaheim, CA (20-24 March 2011).  Dr. Rampa dedicated over 50 years to AFRIMS as a mosquito taxonomist during which period she collected, pin-mounted, and identified hundreds of thousands of mosquitoes that culminated into a one-of-a-kind six-volume taxonomic key to the mosquitoes of Thailand.

Abstract
Chromosomal form K (also known as species K) of the Anopheles maculatus group of sibling species in the Oriental Region is diagnosed and formally named An. (Cellia) rampae Harbach & Somboon, n. sp. The male genitalia, pupa and fourth-instar larva are illustrated and information is provided on the morphology, systematics, bionomics and distribution of the species.
